Wilma M. Sinclair

Wilma Sinclair, 76, passed away Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny. She was born October 25, 1936 to Carl and Lena Burgher in Bloomfield and retired from Mercy Medical Center in 2003.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Russell; children, Warren (Paula) Stogdill, Tom (Patty) Stogdill, Steve (Michelle) Stogdill and Cheryl (Tim) Heinen; daughter-in-law, Kathie Stogdill; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; step-children, Samantha (Lano) Avila, J.R. (Arlene) Sinclair, Rusty (Mary) Sinclair, and Carol (Dennis) Carmer; many step-grandchildren; brothers, Robert, Charles, and Stuart Burgher; sisters, Mary Jones, Evelyn Hayes, Betty Allen, and Garnett Bietzel; and a host of other family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Lowell Stogdill; sons, Ron and Darrel Stogdill; brother, Everett; and sister, Francis.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hopkin Cemetery near Bloomfield. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
