Jerry L. Jones, 75, passed away at Bright Kavanagh Sunday, May 12, 2013.
Jerry was born April 5, 1938, in Des Moines, to Frank and Bertha (Taylor) Jones. He served in the U.S. Army. Jerry was a member of the Elks Lodge #98.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Dixie; sons, Jerry Jr., Mike (Sandy), and Dick (Peggy) Jones; daughters, Pam Jones and Tammy (Jeff) Johnson; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bright Kavanagh in loving memory of Jerry.

Uncle Jerry, You and aunt Dixie were the highlight of my childhood! I was elated to see you guys last summer. Your bright, loving and always smiling face has left us all with a lasting impression of a life well lived. I am glad you're finally at peace from this long and rough battle.
