Don Minniear

Don Minniear, 64, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013.

Don was born March 9, 1949, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Bazzle and JoAnn Minniear. He served in the U.S. Navy and made his living as a truck driver, which he loved.

Don is survived by his wife, Cathy; mother, JoAnn; children, Robert (Patty) Minniear, Michael Minniear, Randell (Natalie) DeHaven, Charity DeHaven, Douglas (Cassie) DeHaven, Stacey Clemans, and Andy Minniear. Don’s home was always open to many other “collected” children that were a significant part of his life. He is also survived by four sisters; a brother; 27 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bazzle, and his granddaughter, Audrey.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
