Ruth Warren

Ruth Warren, 80, passed away on May 13, 2013. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s Lyon Street, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines. The funeral service will be on Friday, May 17 at 10 a.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Burial will be at Corydon Cemetery.

Ruth was born on September 12, 1932 to Blanche (Heston) and Newt Danner in Woodburn, Iowa. After graduation from Corydon High School, Ruth married her high school sweetheart, Clell Warren. The couple settled in Corydon to raise their family but then moved to Uehling, NE in 1973 and then to Des Moines in 1982. Ruth was active, working as a bookkeeper and later as a reflexologist. She spent many hours in prayer and studying her Bible. She also enjoyed painting, journaling, traveling with Clell and playing the piano and singing. Ruth was a member of Berean Assembly of God Church and was active in various Bible study groups.

She is survived by her children, Janet (Ken) Lacey, Nancy (Jeff) Frame, Andrew (Kristy) Warren; grandchildren, Ben (Kate) Lacey, Scott (Kim) Lacey, Tara (Dan) White, Jenna Lacey, Aric, Adam and Kyle Warren; great-grandchildren, Luke, Lincoln, Owen, Jack, Oliver, Lydia, Barrett, Ty, Ryder; sisters, Betty Smith and Katy Danner; brothers, Clifford (Dorothy) Danner, and Don (Connie) Danner. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; and brother, David Danner
