Karen L. Judge

Karen L. Judge, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Karen was born October 12, 1939, in Indianola, Iowa, to Earnest and Vera (Shaver) Newell, and was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. She was in upper management for the North American Division of Massey Ferguson for 25 years, and retired from the Pleasant Hill Police Department in 2005. Karen was a very feisty woman who loved sports cars, sports, computers, crocheting, her dog MJ, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Jack Judge: children, Scott (Dena) Denning, Pam Denning, Kim (Tom) Grove, Tracey (Rick) Milbrandt, and Mark Judge; son-in-law, Bob Jordan; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Lori Jordan.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

For the short time I had the pleasure to know Karen, she was a joy to be around. I will always be in debt to her for the direction she provided 30+ years ago when contiuning my career in computers. My prayers are with the family.

We are so sad to hear that Karen passed away. We will miss her at the office for sure. We are glad at least she did not suffer for too long. Take care and know we are all thinking of Karen's family
