William Hummel

William Douglas Hummel, 40, passed away Monday, July 9, 2007. Funeral services will be at 11am Friday, July 13, 2007 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm Friday at Union Cemetery in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
Doug was born October 3, 1966 in Guthrie Center, the son of Jerald and Karen Hummel. He worked for Speedy Delivery for over 10 years. Doug enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing fantasy football, but above all else he loved spending time with his four children.
Doug is survived by his wife, Joy Hummel; daughter, Ashley Hummel; son, Cole Hummel; step-daughter, Shelby Braniger; step-son, Quaid Braniger; mother, Karen Nemitz; and brother, Lucas Long. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerald Hummel and his grandparents, Myron and Jennie Allen.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to establish a fund in loving memory of Doug.
