Lynn Hansen
May 02, 2013
Lynn Marie Hansen was born in Rolla, Missouri, to Helen and Taylor Earney. In 1962, she married John Hansen. Her and John had three children together Paula Hansen, Michael Hansen, and proceeding her in death Theresa Hansen. Lynn has been a resident of Des Moines for the past 50 years. She worked at Paul Reveres Pizza for many years.
On May 2, 2013, at the young age of 68, Lynn was called home to join her daughter. She enjoyed going to garage sales, going to Prairie Meadows, and spending time with her dog Peaty. She is survived by three sisters, Ruby Matson, Charlotte Gray, and Margie Earney; grandchildren, Brandy Hansen, Cassandra Hansen, Amber Brooks, David Brooks, and three additional grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a numerous number of nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
She wanted to let people know how dangerous it is to smoke and the causes it can have:
“Smoking is hateful to the nose, harmful to the brain, and dangerous to the lung. Remember health is not everything but without health everything else is nothing so remember the best way to stop smoking or any addiction for that matter is to just stop-No ifs, ands or butts!”
“A Shot to kill the pain. A pill to drain the shame. A purge to end the gain. A cut to break the vein. A smoke to east the crave. A drink to win the game. An addiction is an addiction because it all hurts the same.”
