Charles Rawlins

Charles R. Rawlins, 66, died at his home on Thursday, May 2, 2013. He was born September 10, 1946, to Robert and Mary Rawlins in Morrison, Illinois.

Chuck graduated from Morrison Community High School and earned his BA from Southern Illinois University. He had a passion for history and reading. Chuck taught history for many years and most recently was a substitute teacher for Des Moines Public Schools.

Chuck is survived by his children, Kristina (Chad) Weigandt and Jim Rawlins; grandchildren, Veronica, Stephanie, and Alyssa Weigandt; father, Robert Rawlins; sister, Kathy (Bob) Uber; special friend, Christine Hall; and a host of other family and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rawlins.

Per his request, his body has been cremated and no services are planned. His cremains will be scattered at the various places he loved.
