Jimmy Blaine Millard, 71, passed away at his home Sunday, April 28, 2013.
Jimmy was born March 2, 1942, in Des Moines, to Harold and Frankie (Tyler) Millard. He retired from Pirelli/Titan Tires in 2000 and Efco in 2007. Jimmy was a member of Local 164 United Steel Workers. He loved being with his family, woodworking and working in his yard.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Lisa (Blake) West; sons, Matthew, Jimmy, and Brian Millard; grandchildren, Aaron, Staci, and Michelle Golden, Krystina Curry, and Jesse and Marissa Millard; sister, Kathy (Jerry) Remster; and his brothers, Jack, Rickie, and Steve Millard. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Allyn; his parents; and brothers, Larry, Tom, and Bill Millard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Joyce, Matt, Lisa, Staci and Aaron and Family - The loss of such a great man as Jim is heavy on my heart. I thought of him as my other dad. He loved to make everyone smile. I will always cherish the family get togethers, BBQs and the laughter of hearing the stories of all the ornery things that Jim did.

Matthew and family,
I am so sorry I could not be there to serve you and your family. It was not that long ago when Jeffrey died.

Rest in Peace, Uncle Jim. You were a great man and such a special part of my childhood. Whether it was swimming in the pool in your backyard or hiking together to see a waterfall in Canada, I always had a good time with my Uncle Jim. I will cherish my memories of you forever.
