Margaret Fagen

Margaret Fagen, 93, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. She was born May 19, 1919, one of 20 children.

Margaret was a credit manager for Miller Chemical Company for many years. Before her retirement, she was active in the Women’s Credit Group. Margaret was also very active in the Gretna Community Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible study. She was very family oriented and loved supporting the grandchildren in sports. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Glenda (Joe) Huebner of Omaha, Nebraska, and Roberta Turner of Des Moines; sons, Kenneth (Yuko Ishii) Smith of Riverside, Washington, and Gordon Smith of Platina, California; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two siblings. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Allen Smith and Howard Fagen, and 17 siblings.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha at a later date.
