Service Details
Mary R. Rampersaud, 46, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Kavanagh House on 56th. Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with visitation on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. and the funeral service on Thursday, April 25 at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow the service.
Mary was born on November 27, 1966 in Guyana to Harrilal and Purnee Rampersaud. She came to the United States in 1999 and worked for Pizza Hut for 12 years although she returned to Guyana many time to enjoy the weather and to visit family. Mary was very stylish and enjoyed shopping for clothes; and walking the paths with Joe.
She is survived by her daughter, Shoma Khodai; her companion, Joe Phillips; her mother, Purnee Rampersaud; brothers, Dinesh, Ramesh, Krishna and Satesh; sisters, Murlin, Radica, and Davica; cousins, Justin (Jessica) Metz, Janet Metz, and Aly and Matt Metz. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Harilall Rampersaud, and sisters, Loreen.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together, as you celebrate a life well lived but cut short. Death to many seems to be a part of life. Our Heavenly Father (Psalm 83:18) want his children to enjoy life and live, So He made a promise to do away with death at Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Let God's will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth. Only Gods Kingdom [government]can bring peace, happiness, perfect health, and everlasting life. We're so sorry to hear about Mary's passing. She was so outgoing and fun. She was our favorite waitress and we will miss her friendship.
