Richard Lee Strong, Sr.

Richard “Rick” Strong, Sr., 62, passed Monday, April 8, 2013, at his home, with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with visitation for two hours prior to the service.

Rick is survived by his mother, Thelma; sons, Troy and Richard Jr. (Tonya); daughter, Ricki (David) Irwin; eight grandchildren; sisters, Diane Blair, Carol (Chris) Cannon, and Linda Crawford; and his good friend and caregiver, Pam Chiles. He is preceded in death by his father, Virgil Strong.
