Diana Simpson, 68, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born December 6, 1944, to Joseph and Hazel Moren in Leon, Iowa.
Diana retired from Communication Data Services after 25 years of service.
Diana is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Ronald) Cromer of Chariton and Jodi (Ricky Smith) Moore of Des Moines; grandchildren, Heather, Ronnie, Jordan, Tyler, Joseph, Mariah, Michael, and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Taylor, Alaina, Peyton, Jaylon, and Maliah; and her special “adopted” grandchildren, Anthony, Latia (Teontae’), Marcus, and Damarko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Kelly Simpson.
Memorial services will be held 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

I'm so very sorry for your loss
I didn't know her very well but
knew she was a wonderful lady and was loved dearly by her family. this is quite a shock.

So sorry for the loss of Diana. I had only met her on a few occasions, beings that Kelly was a good friend to my siblings, and myself. This was such a shock when i found out about their passing. God Bless you all

Grandma Monday morin was the hardest things I have had to do in 4yrs but We new it was for the best u are ok now ur at peace grandma but always and forever I will chersich my time with u and Rember how great u was to me and my brothers u might be gone to heaven but never will we forget you love you always and for ever. I love you grandma. you made my day happy when I thought it couldn't get any better. the boys miss and love you. I love to remember when I was a little girl id sit on the back of your chair and comb your hair for hours and you would let me, no matter how long it was that you sat there. I love you grandma forever and always.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Diana and her son. Diana and I played together as kids. I was in Danny class but spent lots of time at their house with Diana. My prayers are with the family.

I am so sorry for the tragic loss of Diana and her son. I remember Diana as the "grown-up sister" when I used to go spend the night with Jody (Fitzgerald) all those years ago. Special prayers for all of the Simpson and Moren family members.

Diana, I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I was going to come visit you first when I come back to Des Moines this fall (Sort of my farewell tour!) I have so many fond memories of our childhood together...cousins are forever. See you on the other side where we will run together once again.
