Sharon Kay Bisignano, 64, passed away April 5, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She was born July 7, 1948, in Des Moines, to Warren and Vivian Grandmaitre.
Sharon enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, cooking and baking.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Sherry Rae Foggia, DeDe Goodrich, and Missy Bisignano; four grandchildren, Paige Rundle, Lacey Singleton, Matthew Goodrich, and Joey Bisignano; one great-grandson, Ashton Sammy Adams; special friend, David Umphress; sisters, Mary Grandmaitre (Margo) and Bobbie Grandmaitre. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
A celebration of life visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.

DeDe, Missy & Sherry, We will always be family friends, growing up just doors away from each other and best friends as teenagers. Sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. She was a beautiful lady. If I would've known I would have loved to have been there to hold your hand and give you a hug. I will be with you in thoughts over the weeks to come and send you all my love.

Sharon was so beautiful, full of spunk and always thoughful. I miss her phone calls to check on me. Always there to listen and give advice. We've been thru good times and bad ones. But we always weathered the storm. Blood is thicker than water. Oh how I miss my cousin, Sissy!!! I know there's a heaven because she told me she is in it. Was it a voice in my head or was it real? Sharon was a dear kind person. She was so thoughtful of our elderly parents (her former neighbors) and would often bring food to them. We are so sorry for your loss.
