Geraldine M. "Jerry" Thompson

Geraldine “Jerry” Thompson passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at the age of 84. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines Iowa.

Jerry was dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends. Left to celebrate her life include her daughters; Pat (Dick) Tate, Sherry (Jim) Nelson, and Louanne (Mike) Broderick; eight gandrchildren, Brandy Green, John (Angela) Tate, Mark (Hillary) Nelson, Brooke (Mike) Miller, David (Caitlin) Nelson, Jake Broderick, Jim Broderick, and Leo Broderick; and nine great-grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by her sisters; Dixie Coffin, Waunetta Cattone, and Linda Newman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Thompson.

A visitation for friends and relatives will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines IA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday April 5, 2013, at the funeral home.
