Robert "Bob" Grossnickle

Robert “Bob” Grossnickle passed away at his home in Minburn, Iowa, on April 1, 2013.

Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charlotte; daughter, JoDel Wright of Tiffin, Iowa; step-daughter, Kaye D’Alessandro of Fredericksburg, Virginia; step-son, David Meadows of Naperville, Illinois; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his brother, Jim of Mebane, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott.

Bob was a retired car inspector for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, where he had worked for 27 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. In his later years, Bob was an avid NASCAR fan.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Avon Cemetery.
