Edith (Michael) Hibbs

Edith Hibbs, 76, passed away March 29, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born to Virgil and Thelma Canney in Cambridge, Iowa, on August 18, 1936.

Edith enjoyed cooking and cherished the time she spent with her family.

Edith is survived by her husband, Jim Hibbs; children, Cindy (Dave) Rubenking, Dennis (Linda) Michael, Rob (Tammy) Michael, Lorrie Buck, Vickie (Steve) Lynch, and Jamie Hibbs; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Charles Michael, Jr., and her daughter, Sheryl (Jeff) Fulton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial following at Cory Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12 to 2 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
