Raymond D. McClarey

Raymond D. McClarey, 77, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Granger Nursing & Rehab. Ray was born July 9, 1935, to Charles and Dolly (George) McClarey in Leon, Iowa.

Ray retired from Fawn Engineering in 1999, after 29 years of service in the maintenance department. After his retirement, he was a greeter at Walmart on SE 14th Street. Ray was a long-time member of Fort Des Moines Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Ray is survived by his wife, Nielene; brother, James McClarey; sisters, Dorothy (Rollin) Daly and Irene Rickard; caregiver, Alicia (Robby) Estep; and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Lottie Dean, Max McClarey, Kenneth McClarey, Eva Bauer, and Charles McClarey.
