Marilyn Bales

Marilyn Bales, 66, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family who loved and cared for her very much.

Marilyn was born September 29, 1946 to Melvin and Rosemary Morris in Des Moines. She was a long time day care provider and enjoyed raising her family.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 33 years, Donald; seven children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Leslie Andresen; brothers, Wayne “Sonny” Naylor, Tim McCasland, and Paul McCasland; and best friend, Becky Hirsch. She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Leslie.

Private services will be held at a later date.
