My Beloved Roy-Boy, how I will miss your unending kindness to me; your quick and (pardon the pun, Jude!) razor-sharp wit; your gentleness; and your love. You were there for me - always - when I needed a true friend the most. We shared a friendship that lasted for fifty-seven years... since I met your wonderful daughter in the second grade. And that love and friendship will not end with your days here on earth,
Dear Roy, thank you, my Sweet Old Pal, for giving me a welcomed place in your home and family - always when I needed it the most - and in your great big generous and loving heart.
Jude I know you know how very proud of you and your girls and their children Roy has always been. And that, my Dear Friend, won't ever end.Thank you for the wonderful memories and for sharing so much with me. How lucky you are to have such fun, loving, caring, and truly unique parents who will love you forever..
I wish I could have come, Jude.
Remember I love you.
Always,
Your own,
Suz

Dear Roy I have so many wonderful memories as we both worked at A.E.Dairy. As the years went by just bumping into each other shopping and visiting and at the annual Credit Union Dinner. You went to East High with my Aunt Irene Whitson and knew my family. You always made me and my wife Lynn laugh, May you Rest in Peace.

You were a dear uncle to me. I have many fond childhood memories of family gatherings, picnics and vacations, with you as a key figure. You were sometime ornery, but easy to forgive. I cherish your patience and kindness to me as your "helper" on your milk route, and your kindness to me and and Annikki when we visited Iowa and you showed us around. My mother thought of you dearly, and at her suggestion, we honored you by naming my son Stephen after your middle name, which is mine too - Stephen and his son too share your birthday. Rest in peace, uncle Roy, your longevity and life were inspirational!

Ill never forget all the times we went fishing or long john silvers everytime time I would come over. I'm so glad I got to spend twenty years with you. You were the best grandpa anyone couldve ever ask for. I'm gonna try to be half the man you were with all the love you gave to me and mathew as your grandkids. I'm gonna restore your truck(bumblb) and use it to pull the boat that you gave us like we use to all the time. I love you grandpa.
