Service Details
Marye Elizabeth Larson, 56, passed way on March 16, 2013. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3301 Ashworth Road, West Des Moines, IA on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held the night prior at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.
Marye was born on February 16, 1957 in Mason City, IA to George and Delores (Iiams) Larson. She moved to Des Moines in 1978 and was a childcare provider for over 19 years. She adored children and babies and was a devoted mother. Mary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed spoiling her family and friends with her homemade fudge.
She is survived by her daughter, Erin Larson-Richard; sisters, Gladys and Sharon Larson, and Pat Larson-Eldredge; brother, William (Roselle) Larson; and her many dear friends.

I really enjoyed working with Marye she was a wonderful woman and a very strong willed person. She had a big heart and would do anything for anyone if she could. She will be greatly missed.

Erin- Your mom will be missed by many and remembered as one who loved the children that she cared for and their familes. And as someone who would do anything for anyone. She will be missed. Please let me know if you need anything.

Erin,
You and your mom are loved by many.
While your mom is physically gone, her spirit continues, and she'll never be forgotten by those who knew her.
Please know that your mom's angelic fudge will live on, as she divulged her secret recipe to Suzie, who will continue to make "Marye's Fudge" each year at Christmas.

Dear Erin,
So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I worked at the front desk of the YW and visited with her often over the years. She loved all the little children in her care and they loved her. May she rest in peace.
