Jeri was born September 13, 1934, to Gerald and Grace (Copic) Turner. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952, and worked for the telephone company for 20-plus years. Jeri married David L. Cross on June 4, 1955. Jeri was an active member of Clifton Heights Presbyterian Church until its closing in 2011, and then became a member of Indianola Heights Christian Church. Jeri was a namesake and founding member of Jeri’s Angels, which prepared and served salad lunches to raise money for various local charities. The joy of her life was being the biggest fan of all of her grandkids and great-grandkids and extended family activities.

Jeri was preceded in death by her husband of 49½ years, David; her parents; her sister and best pal for life, Colleen and her husband Jack Pulliam, Sr.; and an infant grandson.
