Melissa Toillion, 29, was born November 12, 1983 in Des Moines and passed away March 10, 2013.
Melissa was a graduate of North High School and attended Iowa School of Beauty. She loved music, singing, dancing, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
Melissa is survived by her mother, Faith (Shaun) Anderson; father, Kim (Lisa) Hamilton; sister, Stephanie (Josh) Chronley; brothers, Jeremy Hamilton, Corey (Chelsea) Hamilton, Justin Hamilton and Jordan Hamilton; step-brother, Bret Thompson; grandparents, Maxine & Art Brommel, Linda & Dave Gilson; step-grandparents, Hugh and Lauretta Anderson; aunt, Hope Sikon; cousin, Jennifer Miller; two nephews and 1 niece; as well as other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Scotty Eichberg.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. The family will receive visitors from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established at Midland Credit Union in loving memory of Melissa.

Although I did not see Melissa much, every time I did she always had a smile on her face. She was definitely loved by her friends and family. My sincere condolences and sympathy go out to the family. They will certainly be in my prayers.

Kim and Lisa it is hard finding words to say to you both at such a sad time. Sometimes God just needs a special "Angel" and he has chosen Missy at this time. Now you have a special angel watching over all of you. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. Take one day at a time and the healing will begin.

Kim,Lisa and family I am thinking about you guys today in this tough time for your family! You guys are like family to me and even though I didn't know Missy all that well but what I do remember of her is she was a sweet girl, a very pretty young lady! I remember when she worked at Wendy's on Euclid, & I worked part time at Autozone right next door in the evenings & I would go over there and she would give me free food just cuz the person she was but also she knew I was a buddy of her daddy!

I have not talked to melissa for years I knew her when she lived on e 7th and then she messaged me on fackbook last week and now she in gone. I am praying for her friends and family in this time of pain I will miss her smile that lit up your day when u fell like crud :) watch down on us girl
