David Hecker

David A. Hecker, 40, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

David was born May 28, 1972, in Des Moines. He graduated from S.E. Polk High School and worked in technology sales for various companies, most recently F Five. David was a member of Adventure Life Church and The Bridge. He enjoyed music, boating, and scuba diving.

David is survived by his sons, David and Dallen Hecker; daughter, Alyxx Peterson; father, Lee (Kathy) Hecker; mother, Linda (Butch) Campfield; paternal grandmother, Genevieve Ennis; brother, Johnny Hecker; sister, Mendy (Darren) Rogers; former spouse, Dana Hecker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leland Hecker, Sr., and his maternal grandparents, John and Margaret Payton.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Adventure Life Church, 1700 8th Street SW in Altoona. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service Thursday at the church.
