Verneita Lucille Rehor, 88, was born May 1, 1924, in Ida Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Hildred (Sacquety) Eng. She passed away peacefully Monday, March 4, 2013, at Polk City Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Verneita is survived by her son, Craig (Ronda) Rehor; daughter, Deb (Ron) Brown; twin sister, Vernette Waugh; sister, Margene O’Leary; brother-in-law, Rolland (Helen) Rehor; sister-in-law, Phyllis Murphy; grandchildren, Angella (Juan) Ramirez, Amy (Shawn) Walther, Jonna (Jeremy) Hayes, Nichole (Jason) Lozano, and Cody (Angela) Rehor; six great-grandchildren, Roberto, Austin, Jordan, Kaeden, Elizabeth, and Connor; five step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other loving relatives; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Rehor, and her parents.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2013, at Altoona Christian Church, 2890 1st Avenue S, with burial to follow at Altoona Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Altoona Lions Club in loving memory of Verneita.

Dear Rehor family,
It seemed very fitting to let V's family know my very high regard for this incredible lady! When I was a teacher at Goodrell Jr. High for many years, V was probably regarded as the engine that made everything run smoothly.
The remarkable part was that she was always gracious and accommodating when we interrupted with thousands of questions and she was busy with a deadline project. She was truly a grand lady whom I have and will admire forever.
My deepest sympathy to you, her family, for the loss of this wonderful person. Hopefully, the many cherished memories that you undoubtedly share will lessen the pain of her loss.

She was a very caring and likable person I really enjoyed the few times I was able to visit with her. May you have many memories of her in your heart and May God Keep you in his loving arms during this difficult time.

To the Rehor family, Vernette and Margene. So sorry to hear about the loss of Verneita. I had met her a few times that I remember over the years (mostly at funerals). I'm sure she will be a big loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

to you for the loss of your mom. I remember when she was a secretary at May Goodrell Junior High. She was always so friendly and thoughtful and have always thought of her for many years, Peace be with you at this time and keep your memories of your mom in your heart forever.
