Connie Storms

Constance Storms, 81, died at the Carlisle Care Center on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Connie has selflessly gifted her body to Des Moines University for anatomical and surgical study. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Connie was born March 16, 1931, in Winterset, to Ward and Helen Bennett. Connie treasured time spent with her family. She loved to cook, her specialties being fried chicken and tacos. She also enjoyed reading and shopping.

Left to honor Connie’s memory are her sons, Harrison (Loni), Jack (Sue), and John Strable; brothers, Dale, Raymond, and Kenny Bennett; sisters, Beverly Barry and Leona Henry; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Dean Overholser; daughter, Janice Campbell; sons, Jerry and Jim Strable; four brothers; and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Connie.
