Wayne N. Mc Kee

Wayne Mc Kee, 76, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Methodist Hospital. He was born January 30, 1937 to Robert and Florence (Hasley) Mc Kee.

Wayne was a car enthusiast and always cheered for Jeff Gordon during NASCAR races. He enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and doing yard work.

Wayne is survived by his children, Evelyn (Jim) Tappan, Norman (Cindy) Mc Kee, Tom (Kelly) Mc Kee, and Brenda (Ron) Smith; grandchildren, Eric, Amanda, Ashley, Michelle, Thomas, Ryan, Justin, Ben, Katelynn, Melissa, Jacob, Amber, Megan and Zoey; 4 great-grandchildren, Tre, Abram, Jaiden, and Quinlan, with one on the way; and his life-long buddy, Tom Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; parents, Robert and Florence (Hasley) Mc Kee; and sister, Patricia.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
