David Stout

David “Goofy” Stout, 59, passed away at his home Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

David was born May 3, 1953, in Des Moines to Jackson and Charolette Stout. In addition to Des Moines, he had also lived in Louisiana and Maine. The Salvation Army was a big part of David’s life and he was active in many programs that they offered. He enjoyed fishing, going to the farmer’s market, and watching NASCAR. David also loved spending time with his grandchildren and going for long walks. He especially enjoyed walking to Hy-Vee with his granddaughter, Emily.

David is survived by his daughters, Kristina Urbina and her eight children; and Amanda Stout and her children, Emily and Logan Hayden; two great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Moore; brother, Dick Stout; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pam Berger, Sally Pickett, and Karen Stout; and his brother, Dennis Stout.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 3424 Forest Avenue in Des Moines.
