Chris J. Lester

Chris Lester, 48, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013.

Chris was born February 4, 1965, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Duane and Dorothy Lester. He was a paint contractor. Chris enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors, reading, and watching movies. He had a passion for animals, and loved spending time on his boat.

Chris is survived by his mother, Dorothy Wallace; sister, Kelly Lester; brother, Tom Lester; step-sisters, Michele Ross and Tracy Sciachitano; step-brother, Travis Shick; nephews, Mark, Allen, Eric and David (Amy) Lester; niece, Denise (Tom) Wood; several great nieces and nephews; and his fiancé, Alice “Ali” Smith and her family, Anthony Smith and his son, Zachariah and Chad Smith and his daughter, Alexandrya;. He was preceded in death by his father, Duane and his brother, John.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

Chris was a giving soul who will be missed by his family and friends. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
