Connie S. Moore, 61, passed away at her home Thursday, February 13, 2013.
The family will greet friends from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
Connie was born May 7, 1951, in Des Moines. She worked as a waitress at the Cracker Barrel. Connie enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
Connie is survived by her husband, Glenn Moore; sons, William Bailey, Robert (Danielle) Bailey, and Joe (Victoria) Moore; grandchildren, Aidyn, Ajavion, Jasmine, Ebony, Robert Jr., William, JaRon, Joseph Jr., and Michael; sister, Karen; brother, John; sister-in-law, Elaine; and her extended family at the Cracker Barrel. She was preceded in death by mother, Betty Still; father, Charles Karns; and her brothers, Ron and David.

We are so sorry for your loss. We were saddened to hear about the death of Connie. She served us a lot at Cracker Barrell and we got to know her well. She like to talk about her grandkids. We will so miss seeing her.

Connie was such a great friend to me and I am deeply saddened that we have all lost her. I first met Connie as a server at Cracker Barrel and became one of her "regulars." We so enjoyed her hospitality and openness that a true friendship began. She will be greatly missed for the giving, caring and wonderful woman she was. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this very difficult time.

I was very sadden to hear of Connie's passing. I got to know her through Ron & Doey and also working with her at CrackerBarrel. She had a heart of gold and would give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Connive will be missed by many. Our prayers go out to her family in their time of grief.

Connie was a very caring person and one of the most dedicated workers I had ever met. She talked a lot about her young grandson and how much she loved him. Her face glowed when she spoke of him.

I am very saddened to hear about Connie. It's such a shock when one leaves us so unexpectedly. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family now and in the days to come.
