William Cole

Memorial services for William B. Cole of Johnston, Iowa, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February, 17, 2013, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 701 East 1st Street in Ankeny, Iowa.

Bill died at 95 years of age from natural causes. His body was donated to the University of Iowa, College of Medicine.

Bill was born in Columbus, Ohio, and has lived the past 58 years in the Des Moines metro area. He worked for many years as a Manager with Look Magazine, and then with Communication Data Services.

During the last 25 years of retirement, Bill has been active in NAIC Investment Activities, playing duplicate bridge, and surfing the net.

Survivors include three daughters: Judy (Ken) Lathrum of Omaha, NE, Tone Schauer of Oceanside, CA, and Trudy (Julian) Olson of Waterloo, IA; two sons: Cloud (Carolyn) Cole of Ankeny, IA and Thad Cole of Chicago, IL; friend, Alison Mulligan of Missouri; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way or Habitat for Humanity.
