Joseph “Joe” Easley, 68, passed away February 11, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the VFW Hall, 2211 E 42nd Street.
Joe was born May 16, 1944 in Des Moines to James and Margaret Easley. He was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and owned and operated J&B Tire for a number of years. Joe retired from the City of Des Moines and later worked part-time at WalMart. He enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, playing guitar, and was a huge fan of Elvis. He was a very likeable person, a great husband, loved his nieces and nephews, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Joe is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters, Christina and Deb Easley, both of AZ; sons, Jason (Tiara) Bales and Jeremy Easley; step-son, Justin Main; many grandkids and great-grandkids; and numerous nieces and nephews who knew him as “Uncle Joe.” He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Angie.
Memorial contributions may be directed toward the family in loving memory of Joe.

Janice & Family, Joe will be dearly missed but his memories with us will never leave.He was a asset to all of us that knew him and I am glad that God give him the time here on earth that he did because we learned a lot " knowing live for today because we don 't know what the next day will bring. Joe taught us that., we will be with him again someday. High 5 buba!!!

I always liked to talk and laugh with Joe down at central garage. He always had a smile on his face. Later I used to talk with him at Walmart and looked forward to giving him a bad time . I will think fondly of Joe each time I walk through the doors at Walmart.

So Sorry to hear about Joe. He took good care of the Police Departments vehicles and was always good for a laugh!

Jancie and family He was not only special he was very friendly and he love to talk to people and he love to joke around and he is going to be missed alot but he will not be forgotten. Just remember he is loved by a lot of people and our prayers will be with you and your family.
