Elena Dolores-Gonzalez, 45, passed away February 5, 2013 at home. She was born August 18, 1967 in Mexico to Ma. Refugio Gonzalez-Lopez and Martin Dolores-Hernandez. Elena worked for the Des Moines Public School District.
She is survived by her children, Noemi, Noel, and Daniel Gonzalez-Dolores; mother, Ma. Refugio Gonzalez-Lopez; siblings, Benjamin, Alicia, Juan, and Norma Gonzalez-Dolores. Elena was preceded in death by her father, Martin Dolores-Hernandez.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 4:45 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. A visitation will be held immediately following the service.

Elena was a very special lady. She was one of the hardest working women I have ever met. She was always kind and sensitive. I will truely miss Elena! I wish the best for her family.

Elena was a wonderful woman & great friend to me. I loved working with her at Brody & Jefferson schools. She would always dance around with me in the kitchen. She taught me to focus only on what was in front of me! Not a day will go by that I won't think of her.
