Service Details
Andrea Lee Wayne, 65, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born January 26, 1948, in California to Edward and Beverly Barnett.
Andrea loved life and had a strong faith in the Lord. She adored her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Andrea is survived by her son, Tony (Melissa) Miner; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Gary Lee Wayne, in 2008.
Per her request, her body has been cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to her son in loving memory of Andrea.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. From reading the other condolences, Grandma Andy was a special person. I pray you find comfort in your memories of her during this difficult time. In knowing Desiree, I have come to admire how close you are as a family.

Andy, you had the knack of driving me nuts and making me laugh at the same time! I loved how you always spoke so highly of your grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Life was never the same for you after your husband Gary passed away and I know you are happy in heaven with him now. Say Hi to Mom and Dad for me. I love you and I'll see you later sis!

You will be sorely missed. I love you soo much. I am still in shock, you were one of those people that was bigger than life to me. You taught me the importance of family and to always speak your mind. I am gonna miss you but, now God will watch over you and you are with your beloved Gary. I love you.
