Service Details
Ronald Charles Streeter, 73, died Monday, February 4, 2013. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street. A visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., Thursday, February 7, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Burial will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery in Saginaw, MI.
Ronald was born February 7, 1939, in Hemlock, Michigan, to Charles and Bernice (Graham) Streeter. He attended Hemlock school and graduated from Saginaw High, then attended Saginaw Business College. He retired from the Equitable Life Insurance after 35 years of service, and then worked part time at Bowlerama Lanes and Willow Creek golf course. He married Peggy Zlotnik April 14, 1977. Ron liked his hunting, fishing, dancing, and bowling. He was a member of Christ the King Church, and the Knights of Columbus 4th degree council 18159 and Dowling #263. He belonged to the Polka Club of Iowa, Za-Ga-Zig Shriners, Scottish rite 32 degree, East Gate Lodge #630, Golden Age Eagles Aerie #497, Duel member at Aerie 109, American Croatian Men’s Club, and the Croatian Fraternal Slavic Center.
Ronald is survived by his children, Roshelle (Cal) Brubaker, Ronald (Sandy) Streeter, II, Richard Streeter, and Roxanne Manifold; stepchildren, Steve Zlotnik, Scott (Amber) Zlotnik, Christine (Dustin) Beener, and Pamela (John) McWilliams, Jr.; sisters, Bonnie Hill and Joyce Buxman; brother, Robert (Peggy) Streeter; grandchildren, NIkkiTobey, Katie Mercer, Shawn Dean, Kayla Krahner, Renee Lang, Anthony Brubaker, Justin Streeter, Casey Streeter, Scott Streeter, Brittany Manifold, Avery Manifold, Ian Zlotnik, Grace Zlotnik and Dakota Beener and great grandchildren, Kendal Tobey, Ellie Dean and Mackenzie Mercer. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Kenneth Streeter.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Croatian Fraternal Slavic Center Scholarship Fund.

Ron, I am so glad I got meet and work with over the years, you always knew how to make people smile. I looked up to you like a step dad you re missed and loved so much. Do one thing slap my sis for me lol just look after them untill we meet again ron.

Sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He was a great person. Ron and all his family are in my prayers.I will be offering a Mass for him and all of you in the next few days.

Sometimes people come into our lives and and at the time you just can't imagine the effect knowing them can have on you personally. Ron was that kind of person. He was so kind, understanding, and always there to listen. I have lost count of the times his advice has served me so well. His outlook on life was amazing. I will long remember Ron for the fun times we had, the dances we shared, his sense of humor was second to none. He was a man that truly loved his family, his church and his friends. I will miss him for the rest of my life. Heaven is truly the lucky benefactor!!!!!

Ron when you entered a room you didn't walk you always had a dance in your step and a smile on your face. You did lifes dance and fought a hard fight! You showed us all to make every moment count! You lived life to the fullest right to the end!! We all are better for knowing you!!! We will miss you!

Ron,
I was there when you spoke to each of your children on the phone and in person. I was there and saw the tears running down your cheek. I saw the light in your face and on your mind and your final welcoming into the house of the lord, I reflected on what I knew your were thinking. I felt the almighty preparing you for your journey.
As I held your hand all night saturday before you passed into heaven. I know now what the true meaning of love and forgiveness is. During your conversations with the lord on your difficult journey, I heard many beautiful lessons toward this difficult thing called life. What I didn't know then, but I do know now is that we must be forgiven before we are called home to the lord. We must be forgiven for all of the large and small things, the petty and meek. We must be forgiven of all of the things in life that weight so heavy on our hearts and in our minds.
Thank you for helping me see this reality in a very special way. I will cherish this beautiful gift you have left with me.
Ron, I will make ever second count, I will be a better person, husband, father, brother, son, uncle and mentor so help me God.
Thank you for giving me this shinning light. Rest in peace.

Ron was a great guy. You could talk to him on so many different levels, he would always listen and give you his opinion, of course. We will always be remember the good times we had during bowling. Best bartender around. Rest in peace my friend til we meet again.
