Dorothy Crane

Dorothy M. Crane, 97, went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 29, 2007 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, July 2, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born September 22, 1909 in Des Moines to Fred and Vina (Andersen) Marquis. She was an oil artist for Andrews, Woltz and Seidlers Studios until her retirement at age 65. Dorothy was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and St. Anthony’s Altar and Rosary Society.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Marilynn (Mike) Armstrong; eight grandchildren, Steve (Chris) Torode, Christine (Verne) Winter, Mike (Tami Jo) Torode, Brian (Pat) Torode, Greg (Tami Sue) Torode, Debbie (John) Hartman, Jim (Maureen) Crane and Sandy Crane; and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew R. Crane; son, Fred (Barb) Crane; and daughter, Carol Crane.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League or Hospice of Central Iowa.
