Patricia Kellis

Patricia “Pat” Kellis, 85, left us to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 29, 2013, from a heart ailment.

Pat was born December 25, 1927, to Bert and Mildred Chittenden in Des Moines. She was married to Bill Kellis on August 26, 1948. They were married until his death December 11, 1999.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Mary Lou and Carolyn; two brothers, Jess and Atwell; a grandson; and a granddaughter. She is survived by her brother, Bobby of Missouri; three sons, Mike of Altoona, Bill II of Altoona and Steve (Rebecca) of Milo; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other loving relatives; and many special friends.

Pat was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross, where until she became ill, was active and made many friends whom she enjoyed along with her family.

The family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2013, at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th Street SW, with burial to follow at Altoona Cemetery.
