Donna Marie Hoffman

Donna Marie Hoffman, 66, passed away on January 29, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., at First Church of the Open Bible, 2200 Beaver Avenue in Des Moines. Burial will be in Barnes City, IA, at a later date.

Donna was born on December 13, 1946, in Des Moines, IA, to Donald James Hyler and Izetta Eva Hyler. She attended East High School and then graduated from Azusa High School in Azusa, CA, in 1965. Donna worked for the West Des Moines school system for 10 years in the food service area and retired in 2007. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, baking and cooking, puzzles, and mowing – on the riding mower.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ralph Henry Hoffman; children, Mark (Lucretia) Hoffman of Ankeny, IA, and Nancy (Steve) Dunnick of Barnes City, IA; 4 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; brother, Perry (Mary) Hyler of Arcadia, CA. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Karen Parker.
