Max K. Williams, 59, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Max was born January 1, 1954, in Huxley, Iowa, to Walter and Gladys Williams. He was a Parks Superintendent for the City of Huxley for 30 years, and he also had a small engine repair business and was very mechanically inclined. He enjoyed working in his yard and flower garden, and had raised a prize winning peach tree.
Max is survived by his wife Dennyne; son, Chad (Amber); daughter, Jodi (Jer); step-daughter, Nicole; grandchildren, Dakota, Faith, Alex, and Elle; sisters, Sandra, Judy, and Vicki; brothers, Denny, Romain, and Terry; and a host of other extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wahnita, Linda, and Ilene; and his brothers, Herschel and Dale.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church, 209 North 2nd Avenue in Huxley, Iowa.

Max, you were my very best good friend, and I am going to miss you. I am glad you came to spend time with me and P-Dub last Saturday, she is really going to miss her uncle Max.I am sending prayers to your family and friends, you will be missed terribly. Love ya, ya old coot!

There is a celebration in Heaven as Max reunites with his friends and family. I know he is in the hands of God with Gary and Bill. He was a fun guy and always had a smile.

It was a pleasure to work with Max for the past five years. On his stops in the office, Max would bring a smile and always had a quick remark that would have us shaking our heads. We miss him and will think of him often.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with the family through this very difficult time for you all. Max has made a difference in so many people's lives, and truly had a special place in both Amanda and Casey's lives as their step father. Sometimes we had to wonder who was the kid and who was the adult, as he could always get the best of you with the silly jokes. You will be greatly missed.
