Gary Lee Virden

Gary Lee Virden, 41, of Des Moines died on June 28, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Woodland Cemetery in Des Moines. The family will greet friends from 3-7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Gary was a senior cook at Iowa Methodist Hospital where he had worked for 25 years. He loved spending time working on his 1970 Olsdmobile Rallye 350.
He is survived by his children Breanne, Tyler (Stevie Hibner), Jeremy and Spencer, his Mother Dixie Virden, Father John Virden all of Des Moines, his grandmother Mildred Virden of Des Moines, his brothers Kenny (Diane) Virden of Des Moines, Rick (Laura) Virden of Grimes and Ransall (Karmen) Virden of Des Moines as well as his grandchildren Tyler Virden II and Kayden Kayser.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents John F. Virden and John and Myrna Steil. Gary was loved by everyone who knew him.
