Amado E. Siasoco, Sr., 85, passed away January 26, 2013, in North Carolina.
Amado was born December 28, 1927, in Manila, Philippines. He immigrated to the United States in 1969. Amado retired from Massey Ferguson in 1993. He was a member of the Filipino American Association, and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Amado is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alita; children, Dr. Senen (Carmencita) Siasoco, Amado Jr. (Susan) Siasoco, Jimmy (Josie) Siasoco, Susan (Jay) Imhoff, Lori (Bob) Heggen, Edwin (Kathy) Siasoco, and Ricco (Guy) Siasoco; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ruben (Lina) Siasoco and Mario Siasoco; and his sisters, Belen Jose, Ester Lamug, and Dely Cabanlig. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cesar, Angel, and Oscar; and granddaughter, Mercedes M. Heggen.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., followed by a service at 2 p.m., on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Private family burial will take place at the New Virginia Cemetery in New Virginia, Iowa.
