Becky Hudson, 50, passed away on January 26, 2013, at the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House.
She was born March 10, 1962, in Forest City, Iowa, to Margaret and Vincent Olson. Becky was a great Mom. She was very proud of being a Mom. Becky loved to bake, travel, cook and make friends. But most of all her boys were her life. Becky will be missed by many who loved her and supported her during her battle with cancer. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brad; her sons, Adam, Blake, and Joseph; her father, Vincent Olson (Irene); her siblings, Claudia (Tom) Sheets of LeMars, Brad Olson of Minneapolis, and Mary Jo Walton of Woodbury, MN; and her nieces and nephews, Amy Sheets, Jacob Sheets, Megan Markson, Daniel Olson, Sydney Walton, Marcus Walton, and Allison and Morgan Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 517 SW Des Moines Street, Ankeny. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens is handling services.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Becky’s family in her loving memory.

Dearl Brad & Family,
Although I never had the pleasure of personally meeting Becky, I have heard so many lovely things about her from various ISEA members. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I know that she is certainly in a better place. Sometimes we cannot understand why things like this happen, but know that time will heal and that you have all of those pleasant memories of being with Becky.

My heart is heavy to hear of the loss to the Hudson family. I knew Becky only through Brad and his updates to his many ISEA friends. Becky was loved dearly by her family and friends. I wish I could have had the opportunity to meet such a wonderful lady. To the Hudson family: my thoughts are prayers are with you.

I had the great honor of meeting Becky when Blake and Dillon became friends. There was an instant connection and I loved having conversations with her. She embraced my son and treated him as one of her own and for that I will always be grateful. Her boys are a testament to the great mom that she was. My last memory of Becky will be at Christmas Eve service. As we hugged she whispered in my ear that she was feeling the best she had in a long time. She was thoroughly enjoying the holidays and her family. We are thinking of all of you.

I am glad I had the opportunity to meet Becky- she was fun to visit with and definitely had a love of life and her family. Wish I had known her longer. WIll miss her.
