Howard was like the brother I never had. I met him when I was 13 years old and he was my sister's boyfriend. We remained in contact through the years, and we corresponded when he was in Viet Nam. He would come to some of my high school parties and we would meet at Chucks Pizza House on Friday Night as part of the reunion.. He knew everyone, loved people and they loved him. He always asked about my son, sisters and other family members when he would call me. I will truely miss you Howard. I love you and it conforts me that you are with Janet now. God Bless You

Our dear friend Howard, a TRUE friend indeed. We will miss our times on the deck & at my pond.
The dogs have also lost a true friend along with the birds you always kept fed. You are one of a kind my friend. We will greatly miss you in sooo many ways.
We love Howard.

I met Howard when we were teens working at the Iowa State Fair and remained friends for life. Howard loved life and loved people. When he was in his teens and my family would go on vacation, Howard would look in on my grandparents and mow their grass. The world is a better place because Howard lived here. He will be missed.

Howard will be missed by so many. He & Don had a wonderful friendship so I know that Don will be there to greet Howard and I hope they don't get into as much trouble as they did in high school.
