John Merlin Stills passed away January 24, 2013. He was the son of John Lama and Mary Brown Stills, born in rural Clark County. He graduated from New Virginia High School in 1952, served in the Marine Corps 1953-1956, and graduated from Iowa State University in 1959. John started working for International Harvester in 1961, and retired from International Trucks in 1994.
John is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Stills; son, Todd Stills; daughters: Jennifer (Mike) Neighbour, Pam (George) Hovey, and Roxanne (Jim) Acre; three step-children: Tracy (Donna) Leffler, Jane Morgan, and Susan (Frank) Courtney; brother, Melvin (Sue) Stills; and sisters: Evelyn (Don) Norris, Joan (Joe) Forman, and Jane (Dean) Strawn. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Frank Stills. There were 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pastor Richard Boatman will officiate a memorial service at Oakwood United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Iowa Health Home Care, 11333 Aurora Avenue, Urbandale, IA 50322.

Bonnie, Todd & Jenny-we would like to send our heartfelt sympathy. You all are in our thoughts & prayers during this time. Uncle John will be dearly remembered & sadly missed.........do you see the guy with the carrot in his ear :)
