Kristi Ann Murphy, 49, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with private burial. A visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, January 25, at the funeral home.
Kris was born February 19, 1963, in Perry, to Charles and Marilyn (Potter) Stewart. She worked as an accountant at Wells Fargo. Kris enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, cooking, and the St. Louis Cardinals. She loved spending time with her pets; her dogs, Jake and Bear, and cat, Bently. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Kris is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter, Shannon; step-daughter, Sarah Murphy (Zachary Mannheimer); step-son, David Murphy (Amanda); grandchildren, Mira, Benjamin, Lorelei; mother, Marilyn Stewart; sisters, Sherri Elliot, Kim (Dan) Schoenthal, and family friend, Jessica Butters. Kris was also a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Although Kris and I never met in person, we worked together by phone and email and we spoke several times each day. Kris was always very kind and thoughtful. She will be greatly missed.

I worked with Kris briefly on a couple of projects at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. She was always kind to me, and I know that she was a valued member of our extended team. My sincere condolences for your loss.

Dear Murphy familiy,
I received the sad news today about Kris, and my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I had the opportunity to work with Kris for only a short period of time at Wells Fargo, but grew to know her as a very nice person and a pleasure to work with.
Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, take comfort in knowing heaven has welcomed a very special person.

I received the news today about Kris. Shock and awe hit me as I learned about her sudden passing. I had the pleasure of working with Kris at Wells Fargo.
