Leslie Liggins, 40, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Bright Kavanagh House. She was born January 14, 1973, in Des Moines. Leslie never knew a stranger and she loved to sing.
Leslie is survived by her love, Grady;sons, Justin and Kaleb; daughter, Destiny; mother, Linda Deal; siblings, Melinda Aberle, Tammy Lopez, Natasha Schnell, and Fred Liggins, Jr.; grandmother, Phyllis Abell; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Liggins, Sr.; son, John Calvin Flanders; and her grandfather, Joseph Abell.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

to the family , I am so sorry for your loss , I also am feeling this loss too... I loved leslie sooo much, her and I had a blast together always... her and I were very close , we just had our own families to take care of and it kinda made it to where we only talked at family gatherings..and I really regret not keeping in touch more... I am unable to make her funeral , unfortunately I have no sitter for my handicap daughter... and this tears me up that I cant be there to say goodbye...so please tell her Kim loves her and will see her on the other side.. my thoughts are with you all today...love you leslie R.I.P. with love to you all Kimberly Mongar....
