Sheryle Flatt

Sheryle Joye Flatt, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines surrounded by her family. She was born August 31, 1938 in Des Moines to Archibald Edmund and Berniece Burdick Silletto. Sheryle retired after many dedicated years of service from CDS Global. She enjoyed puzzles, collecting teddy bears and tending to her garden and yard. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her wonderful grandchildren and great grand children, whom she loved dearly.

Sheryle is lovingly remembered by her children, Carol (Bill) Ott of Creston, Mike Faber of Missouri, Terry (Kristi) Flatt of Indianola, Debra Flatt of Des Moines, Wayne (Brenda) Flatt of Indianola, Randy (Sherry) Flatt of Des Moines; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Flatt, Angella Flatt, Scott Flatt, Tony (Kris) Flatt, Sarah Erickson, Stephanie Ott, Andrea (Nate) Foley, Ryan Ott, Stephanie Flatt (Josh Campbell), Emily Flatt, Shane Flatt, Steven Flatt, Angie Williamson, 15 great grandchildren; brothers, James (Peggy) Silletto of Port St. Lucie, FL, Thomas (Rogene) Silletto of Lincoln, NE, Gary Silletto of Henryville, KY; sisters, her twin, Shirley (John) Burch of San Diego, CA, Sharon (Jerry) Rote of Stuart, IA; sister-in-law, Marjorie Silletto of Fremont, CA; and brother-in-law, Charles Noland of Adair, IA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert and sisters, Betty Mahaney and Mary Noland.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A private burial of her cremated remains will take place in the spring.
