Larry Haley

Larry L. Haley, 58, died Friday, January 18, 2013, surrounded by loving family and friends. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
Larry was born July 8, 1954, in Mount Ayr, Iowa. He was employed with AJM Plumbing for many years. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his daughter, Misty (Brian Rustan) Haley; his son, Larry Haley, Jr., his grandchildren: Brilen and Blake Rustan; and his siblings: Rosezetta (Ronald) Shepherd, Linda (Hardin) McCleese, Gene (Tami) Haley, and Mark (Angela) Haley. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Raymond and Elva (Dredge) Haley; and his brothers: Arlen, Garlen, and his twin, Garry Haley.

To the entire Haley family it is hard to put into words how much i thought of Larry (Bill), i grew up with he and Garry and lived with them during my senior year in high school.Larry had such a gentle spirit and was a very generous man and i was blessed to be his friend. God Bless.

I was saddened to learn of another passing from my old neighborhood. I lived "up the street". I remember Larry as "Linda's older brother". My thoughts and prayers are with all Larry's family. I hope you can find comfort in sharing your memories of Larry with family and friends. God Bless You.

I did not know Larry well, but what i did know from the times i had been around him was that he was a man of integrity, had a great, great love for his family, and had an absolute heart of gold. I am so sorry Judy, Misty, Larry Jr., Brian for the loss of this wonderful man. May God keep and Bless him.

To all the family, he was such a nice kind person. He would come to help you in a minute.I have known Larry all my life, and even though we did not see each other for long periods of time he was always there and always a big smile and a honery pinch to remind you he was there. I sure will miss him. But our memories will always last, friends are forever. All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

To Larry's family and the entire Haley family. I remember Larry mostly as a young boy, back in the 50's and 60's. He was always sweet and kind. I am so sorry for you loss. I'm sure he will be missed.
