Service Details
Merlyn Doyle Glazebrook was born on October 16, 1938 in Leon, Iowa to Keithie (Wilson) and Lawrence Glazebrook. He passed away at Bright Kavanagh in Des Moines on January 18, 2013.
Merlyn retired in 2000, from Prairie Meadows after many years of dedicated service as supervisor of housekeeping.
Those left behind to cherish Merlyn’s memory are, his loving wife, Lana; his daughter, Patricia McCullough; and grandsons, Jeremy and Joshua (Brenda) Dahling; and his other little girl, Pheobe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Farild Lloyd Glazebrook.
Per his wishes, cremation has occurred and no services will be held.

My name is Sharon Apoian and Doyle was my biological father. Unfortunately, I missed my opportunity to get to know him but if anyone, especially Patricia, would please contact me I was recently given some pictures of Doyle and what would have been my grandparents and would love to share them with the family.

I had the pleasure to work with Doyle at Prairie Meadows and to experience his kindness and his positive attitude towards life in general. His smile would always add to my day. He will be missed.

I had the honor of working with Doyle at two different companies. Doyle was always there when I needed him and he will be truly missed.

It was such a blessing and pleasure to know Doyle. He had a strength and determination like no other. He never felt sorry for himself and took on each new challenge ready to fight. Now, at last, he can rest. I will truly miss him and I am a better person for having known him.
