Beverly Harris

Beverly Maxine Harris, 78, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Kavanagh on 56th Street. She was born May 14, 1934, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Orville and Ada Hollen. Beverly will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Sharon Wrigley of Keller, Texas, Jack Jr., Michael, and David Harris all of Des Moines, and Judy (Steve) Houg of Van Meter, Iowa; grandsons, Justin (Leah) and Jeffrey (Bonnie) Houg; great-grandsons, Tyler and Ethan Houg; sister, Doris Jean Holms of Norwalk; and her brother, Drexel Hollen of Peoria, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Munyon Cemetery in Decatur County. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa and the American Lung Association in Iowa.
